Leyton Home

We were approached by our clients to help transform this dated East London Edwardian home, with many of the original features stripped out or covered up.  We were able to offer advice and help make the most of the space with which we had to work. This was a full house renovation project which included side infill extension, reconfiguration to the first floor layout, and loft extension.

It was important to our clients to provide them with a light, spacious downstairs layout while keeping a strong connection to the garden and creating a great entertaining space.

The downstairs offers a comfortable snug room which connects to the open plan kitchen/ dining space with connecting larder.  The middle floor was reconfigured to house two bedrooms, a large family bathroom and office room, as well as a utility room with space to dry clothes. The loft now contains two further bedrooms with another well-proportioned shower room.

We restored this home with natural materials in mind such as original timber flooring and timber sash windows, which are sensitive/sympathetic to the original building.
